Split PDF Online
Split a PDF into separate one-page PDF files online for free. Download every page together in one ZIP file, with no signup required. Choose your file, review the selected list, then start the tool. The browser sends the file to the processing API and returns a downloadable result.
How it works
Upload one PDF and the tool creates one PDF file per source page. The full set is packaged into a ZIP so page order stays easy to identify and download.
The result uses the shown output filename as a fallback when the server does not provide a specific download name. split-pages.zip
File limits
One PDF file, up to 50 MB.
The splitter accepts one PDF up to 50 MB. A document with many pages produces the same number of PDF files, so allow time to extract and store the ZIP before closing the browser.
Privacy and file handling
Files are used only for the requested PDF task and are removed from temporary storage after processing.
The uploaded PDF and generated page files use temporary request storage and are removed after processing. Avoid uploading restricted documents when your policy does not permit online processing.
Output quality
The tool is tuned for practical everyday documents. Very complex layouts, image-heavy PDFs, or scanned pages can affect the final result.
Each source page is copied into a new one-page PDF without intentional image recompression. Page dimensions, rotation, links, and visible content come from the original file.
Separate every PDF page into its own file.
Limitations and edge cases
A large source with many pages creates many output files to manage.
Encrypted or restricted PDFs may fail until unlocked.
Page labels/bookmarks are not a substitute for checking numbered output files.
Example input and output behavior
Input: 40-page PDF.
Output: 40 single-page PDFs in one ZIP archive.
Characteristics: each page becomes an independent file, useful for selective reuse.
When this tool is not the right choice
Not ideal when you only need page rotation or compression.
Not ideal when recipient requires one intact document with context.
Common uses
- Separating a long application, report, invoice bundle, or scanned packet into individual pages for different recipients.
- Extracting every page before keeping only the files needed for a new merge or archive.
Troubleshooting
- If you need only selected pages, download the ZIP and keep the numbered page files you want.
- If the PDF cannot be split, check whether it is damaged, encrypted, or blocked by permissions and save an unlocked copy first.
