DWG to PDF Converter

Convert a supported 2D AutoCAD DWG drawing to a shareable PDF online. Upload one drawing and download the result without creating an account. Choose your file, review the selected list, then start the tool. The browser sends the file to the processing API and returns a downloadable result.

How it works

Upload one DWG drawing and the server renders supported 2D paper-space or model-space entities to a vector PDF. When that render is empty or incomplete, the server uses the DWG's embedded raster preview when available.

The result uses the shown output filename as a fallback when the server does not provide a specific download name. converted-drawing.pdf

File limits

One DWG file, up to 50 MB. Best for supported 2D drawings.

The converter accepts one .dwg file up to 50 MB. 3D geometry, external references, custom objects, and unsupported CAD entities may be omitted. An embedded-preview fallback is only available when the source DWG contains one.

Privacy and file handling

Files are used only for the requested PDF task and are removed from temporary storage after processing.

Only upload DWG drawings you are permitted to process online. Temporary source, intermediate SVG, and PDF files are removed after the request finishes, whether conversion succeeds or fails.

Output quality

The tool is tuned for practical everyday documents. Very complex layouts, image-heavy PDFs, or scanned pages can affect the final result.

Vector output is designed for convenient viewing and sharing. Embedded previews are raster images and are not scale-accurate plots. Check dimensions, title blocks, text, symbols, and every sheet before relying on any result for construction, manufacturing, tendering, or formal approval.

Common uses

  • Creating an easy-to-open PDF preview of a supported 2D floor plan, detail, schematic, or technical drawing.
  • Sharing a basic drawing with someone who does not have CAD software while keeping the original DWG unchanged.

Troubleshooting

  • If content is missing or the scale is wrong, open the drawing in its authoring application, resolve external references and fonts, then plot or export a PDF directly.
  • If conversion fails, save a clean copy in a common AutoCAD DWG version with visible 2D model-space or paper-space content and try again.

Frequently asked questions

Which DWG drawings convert best?

The converter works best with supported 2D model-space or paper-space drawings. If vector rendering is incomplete, it may use the DWG's embedded preview instead; that preview is for viewing, not scale-accurate plotting.

Do I need AutoCAD or an account?

No. Supported DWG files are processed on the server and returned as PDF without requiring AutoCAD or account registration.

Will the PDF match my plotted layout exactly?

Not always. DWG plotting depends on layouts, fonts, line weights, plot styles, and linked resources. Review the PDF before using it for construction, manufacturing, or approval.
