How to convert HWP to PDF online without losing Korean text

HWP is the long-established document format associated with Hancom's Hangul Word Processor. It is widely encountered in South Korean schools, universities, companies, associations, and public administration. Outside that ecosystem, many operating systems and browser-based office suites do not open HWP files natively. A recipient may therefore see an unknown attachment even though the document is routine to its sender. PDF solves the viewing problem by turning the document into a fixed-layout format supported on almost every modern device.

Many general converter sites concentrate on DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, JPG, and PNG because those formats have broad cross-platform libraries. HWP needs a specialist parser or a compatible office engine, and different generations of the format can contain controls that are difficult to reproduce outside Hancom Office. An HWP file can contain names, resident-registration information, student records, financial details, contracts, internal plans, or unpublished research.
